Job summary

UVeye is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead installations and service of our automated vehicle inspection systems across the US and Canada. You will coordinate with contractors, calibrate hardware and software, and ensure deployments meet engineering, safety, and quality standards.

This is a travel-heavy, field-based role requiring strong technical leadership. Responsibilities include installing and validating systems, diagnosing field issues, and maintaining documentation—while delivering

Qualifications

• 4+ years as Field Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Field Technician.
• Experience leading contractors during installations.
• Strong hands-on with civil works, networking, electrical, and mechanical assemblies.
• Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking.
• Experience reading and interpreting site layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Autodesk, or similar tools.
• Ability to create clear installation, service, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead on-site discussions and provide technical direction.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% across the US/Canada; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installations and coordinate contractors to meet specs, timelines, safety, and quality.
• Install, calibrate, and validate inspection systems across components before handoff.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and integration issues in the field.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service to maximize uptime.
• Enforce safety standards and on-site protocols for all personnel.
• Review site layouts and drawings; identify discrepancies and raise changes.
• Be the primary on-site technical contact, managing customer expectations.
• Manage time and expenses per company guidelines.
