Job summary

UVeye is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installations and service of UVeye’s automated inspection systems across the US, Canada, and beyond. You will configure, calibrate, and validate systems, guide contractors, and ensure deployments meet engineering and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in field service, strong hands-on capabilities in electrical, mechanical, and networking, plus familiarity with AutoCAD and Linux-based systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Field Technician.
• Experience leading contractors or teams during technical installations.
• Strong hands-on experience with civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
• Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking principles.
• Experience reading and interpreting site layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Autodesk, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installations, directing contractors and ensuring safety, timelines and quality.
• Install, calibrate, and validate systems across electrical, mechanical, networking and civil components.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and integration issues in the field.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service to maximize uptime.
• Ensure safety standards and enforce safe practices on-site.
• Manage on-site documentation and liaise with Engineering, R&D, and Operations.
• Travel up to 100% across US and Canada; valid driver’s license required.
