Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Durant, Iowa, is seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead a team of agronomists and seasonal workers focused on safe, efficient seed field production. You will drive quality, scheduling, and day-to-day operations in collaboration with growers to deliver high-yield crops to the production facility.

This on-site role requires leadership, strong negotiation, and agronomic expertise, with relocation assistance offered and visa sponsorship not available. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agribusiness, or related discipline.
• People management experience and field leadership.
• Knowledge of production agriculture and plant operations.
• Contract negotiation experience.
• Valid US Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Willing to obtain pesticide applicator license.
• Ability to work long hours including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a Field Team to ensure timely crop production.
• Develop and own Field budget, safety, quality, and workforce plan.
• Manage grower contracts, acreage allocations, and conflicts.
• Maintain relationships with Commercial team to align on grower needs.
• Oversee Integrated Pest Management program responsibilities.
• Train agronomy and production staff and growers.
• Coordinate harvest scheduling and seed readiness at the plant.
