Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Orange City, IA is seeking a Field Testing Specialist to support seed product development and research across multiple projects. You will handle seasonal seed operations, collect data, and operate field equipment while maintaining safety and data quality.

You’ll supervise seasonal staff and assist with planning, planting, pollination, and harvest activities within a collaborative research environment. This hands-on role offers growth opportunities in cutting-edge crop science.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field preferred.
• Hands-on experience in agricultural research, field operations, crop production, or related work may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Participate in seasonal seed handling operations: packaging, shelling, seed treating, requests, shipping, receiving.
• Maintain organized seed inventories for local and external programs.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot agricultural and research equipment.
• Collect, manage, and verify high-quality research data with compliance to protocols.
• Supervise and direct seasonal employees to ensure safe, efficient work.
• Support or lead activities like experiment planning, plot planting, data collection, and plant pollination.
