Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project quality control program, keep the ITP current, schedule and witness tests, and write the daily QC report. You will open and track nonconformances and coordinate with the engineer of record.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• One of: ACI Grade I, NICET II, ICC Special Inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and create a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to tell a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records (preparatory, initial, follow-up).
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
• Lead conversations on rework with superintendents and owners and drive corrective actions.
