Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Quality Manager I to own the on-site QC program for a single project under a senior manager. You’ll keep the ITP current, schedule tests, witness field and lab work, and produce daily QC reports with NCR handling.

You’ll coordinate with the superintendent and engineer of record, ensuring certification validity and audit-ready files. Growth moves you toward Quality Manager II in larger programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and convert them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to tell a superintendent when a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and testing frequency log against the specs.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily quality control report and meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
