Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Manager I to own the project quality program on a single site under a senior quality manager. The role involves maintaining the ITP, scheduling and witnessing tests, and producing the daily QC reports while tracking nonconformances through to closure.

It is a hands-on step toward advancing to Quality Manager II as programs grow. You will work with field inspectors, technicians, engineers, and superintendents to ensure tests meet specifications,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule
• Direct, organized, and comfortable communicating with a superintendent about nonconforming tests

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of the technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
