Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Mobile, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician, Soft Services, to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of interior and exterior facility areas. The role requires hands-on repairs, painting prep, furniture reconfiguration, and proactive inspections to maintain standards.

The candidate should have 3+ years in building repair, basic plumbing/electrical, and the ability to read SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical.
• Ability to read, understand and follow SOPs for procedures, buildings and equipment.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office and CMMS experience a plus.
• Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Must have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Must have or be able to obtain Aerial and Boom lift certificates.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain interior and exterior areas, including walls, fixtures, and lighting.
• Repair walls, ceilings, flooring, and install fixtures as needed.
• Move office furniture, machinery, and equipment on request.
• Read blueprints and equipment manuals to plan repairs.
• Respond to facility work requests promptly and safely.
