Qualifications

• Five years of experience in skilled building trades or maintenance work, including construction, alteration, or repair of buildings, grounds, or utilities.
• Two years of supervising contractors or skilled staff in the listed fields.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct maintenance, renovation, and repair of state properties, buildings, grounds, and utilities.
• Inspect facilities, determine project requirements, and estimate labor and material costs.
• Manage budgets, supervise staff or contractors, and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and building codes.
• Prepare reports, bid evaluations, and oversee project specifications for equipment and services.
• Travel as required to state facilities across the defined area.
