Job summary

Biltmore is seeking an Event Operations – Quality Assurance Lead to serve as an on-site working lead across the estate, ensuring safe, consistent, high-quality event execution. You will train staff, audit operations, and coordinate with supervisors, vendors, and QA teams to uphold standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; additional technical/operational training preferred.
• 2–5 years in event operations or related field; leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of event setup, logistics, and QA practices.
• Experience training staff, coaching, or ensuring procedural compliance.
• Ability to operate or supervise forklifts, MEWPs and related equipment; certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding and on-the-job training of Event Operations staff.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure safety and SOP adherence.
• Document deficiencies and assist with corrective actions.
• Oversee setup/strike of event infrastructure (staging, tents, power distribution).
• Ensure inventory and equipment remain organized and functional.
• Operate/support forklifts, telehandlers, MEWPs per safety requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and review installs for compliance with SOPs.
• Read MSDS sheets and operate mechanical equipment safely.
• Provide operational support during large-scale events and exhibitions.
