Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking an experienced Event Manager in Terre Haute to oversee all aspects of assigned events from advance planning to execution. You will act as the on-site planning lead, coordinate with clients, staff, and vendors, and ensure exceptional customer and attendee experiences.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of increasingly responsible experience in event management in stadium/arena/convention center/public facility setting
• Bachelor’s degree in facility management, hospitality, business, or related field
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general IT
• Knowledge of event operations and managing staff

Responsibilities

• Plan, detail, and be on-site point of contact for client
• Create and distribute event resume sheets prior to every event
• Participate in production meetings to discuss upcoming events
• Create event diagrams for clients
• Liaise between facility users and staff
• Manage Food and Beverage needs with catering
• Assist sales with event logistics for closing proposals
• Provide management and guidance for event personnel
• Coordinate with outside vendors for equipment move-in
• Communicate clearly in English, both oral and written
• Schedule event security as needed
• Assist with room set preparation and post-show settlements
