Job summary

Allied Universal Technology Services is seeking an Embedded Service Technician to serve on-site at a client location, performing service, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs for access control, video surveillance and related systems.

The role requires troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical and networked security systems, with strong documentation and customer communication skills. On-site work includes lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional on-call rotations.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a company vehicle.
Minimum of 3 years of field experience in the electronic security industry.
Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing, maintaining, or supporting enterprise-level access control and video management systems.
Excellent computer, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site service, maintenance, repair, diagnostics and testing of electronic security systems.
Respond to client requests and outages while meeting service levels.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues while following safety and regulatory standards.
Support system upgrades, firmware updates and software patches.
Assist with system commissioning, device programming and configuration changes.
Document and track issues through ServiceNow per regulations.
Interpret electrical schematics and CAD drawings for low-voltage work.
