Job summary

Superior in Ironton, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help drive electrical construction projects forward. You will support operations on site, assist with contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration to keep projects moving smoothly.

The role requires at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site or a related degree, with bonus points for prior Project Operations experience and OSHA 10/30 certification.

Qualifications

• You have at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field - or a Construction Management certificate
• Bonus Points: prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Bonus Points: active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI's and ensure that all RFI's are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership
