Superior in Ironton, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects on site, reporting to the Project Manager. The role focuses on contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration to drive project execution.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of field experience or a related degree/certificate, with OSHA certification being a bonus. On-site opportunities and a clear path within Project Operations are available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including internship) or a related degree/certificate.
• Strong understanding of project coordination, scheduling, and contract administration is preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Create and submit RFI documents and ensure integration into project records.
• Coordinate with vendors on submittals and lifecycle of documents.
• Support the creation, submission, and management of change orders.
• Track progress by updating contracts and photographing the jobsite.
• Monitor project schedule and report to Project Operations and Field Operations leaders.
• Collaborate with Foreman to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Lead project close-out activities including warranties, as-builts, and final documentation.
• Develop familiarity with project finance alongside Operations and Finance teams.

We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.

Superior is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make operations on‑site more efficient and will play a key role in our contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based on a jobsite in Ironton, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI’s and ensure that all RFI’s are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close‑out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as‑builds, and attic stock
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field — or a Construction Management certificate
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
