Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Project Deployment Technician - AC Power to perform on-site start-up, commissioning, and field support for large UPS and switchgear projects across North America. The role involves independent on-site work, significant travel (approx. 80%), and a fast-paced environment with 6–12 month project cycles.

You will receive accelerated on-the-job training and work under supervision. A technical/undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is expected, with strong electrical theory,

Qualifications

• Technical/Undergraduate Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Solid foundation in Ohm's Law and electronic theory.
• Basic fix/repair techniques.
• Site evaluation skills (environmental, operating conditions).
• Troubleshooting ability and mechanical/tool aptitude.

Responsibilities

• On-site and phone technical assistance to customers.
• Scheduled maintenance per company guidelines.
• Implement Field Change Notices.
• Stay current on Safety Bulletins and Service Tips.
• Timely reporting: timecards, expenses, mileage, ticket closure.
• Maintain inventory and company property (vehicle, laptop, phone, PPE, test equipment).
