Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Project Deployment Technician - AC Power to perform on-site start-up, commissioning, and field service for large UPS and switchgear projects. Travel up to ~80% across North America, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.

Training is provided, and typical projects run 6–12 months. The role requires technical/undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience, strong electrical fundamentals, and the ability to work independently under supervision.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints.
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Solid foundation in Ohm's Law and electronic theory.
• Basic fix/repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• On-site and phone technical assistance to customers.
• Scheduled maintenance per company guidelines.
• Implement Field Change Notices.
• Maintain inventory and company property (vehicle, laptop, PPE, test equipment).
