Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Customer Engineer to perform installation, commissioning, and service on UPS, power distribution units, and related products across client sites. You will build rapport with customers, coordinate with sales and support teams, and perform service tasks under supervision or independently after training.

The role emphasizes on-site reliability, safety compliance, and delivering high-quality service with a focus on first-time fixes and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate professionally in written and verbal form.
• Strong time management and prioritization to balance technical and administrative tasks.
• Collaborative with peers, customers, suppliers and leadership.
• Complete administrative tasks such as report writing and inventory counting in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks as assigned and per company policies.
• Render on-site and phone assistance to customers.
• Communicate with Technical Support on issues.
• Implement Field Change Notices per guidelines.
• Stay current on Safety Bulletins and Field Change Notices.
