Job summary

Vertiv Co. is seeking a Project Deployment Technician for on-site start-up and commissioning of large orders involving uninterruptible power supplies and switchgear. You will travel in North America, work independently on-site, and receive accelerated OJT.

Typical projects span 6–12 months, with safety and professionalism emphasized throughout. The role requires a technical/undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, plus strong reading of electrical diagrams and testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Technical or undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment.
• Good problem-solving under pressure.
• Ability to work on-site and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and phone technical assistance to customers.
• Perform scheduled maintenance per company guidelines.
• Implement Field Change Notices.
• Stay current on safety bulletins and service tips.
• Timely reporting: timecards, expenses, mileage, ticket closure.
• Maintain inventory and company property (vehicle, laptop, PPE, test equipment).
• Adhere to safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
