Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Associate to support EH&S initiatives for a data center construction and expansion project.

The role requires on-site safety leadership, auditing of contractor compliance, and promotion of a proactive safety culture across all activities. You will work with Project Management, EH&S personnel, contractors, and the Owner’s Representative to ensure OSHA regulations and site safety standards are met, including site

Qualifications

• Experience in construction safety, occupational health and safety, or an EH&S support role.
• Ability to conduct site inspections, identify potential hazards, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with project leadership, contractors, and field personnel.
• Proficiency in preparing safety reports, maintaining documentation, and tracking compliance records.
• Ability to work in an active construction environment and perform regular field inspections.
• OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 510/500 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site safety leadership and guidance for data center construction and expansion projects.
• Collaborate with Project Management, EH&S personnel, and contractors to ensure compliance with safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct daily formal safety audits and inspections of active construction activities and track corrective actions.
• Serve as a technical safety advisor to the Owner’s Representative on safety conditions and risk mitigation.
• Deliver site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training as needed.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and verify safe work practices across all construction phases.
• Prepare and submit standardized safety reports documenting performance, findings, and compliance status.
• Maintain safety logs, inspection records, and incident documentation for project files.
• Assist with external agency interactions, including OSHA inspections and recordkeeping as appropriate.
• Communicate safety concerns to project leadership and recommend corrective measures.
• Support continuous improvement of site safety practices and promote accountability among contractors.
