Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced On-Site Safety Officer to support a major data center project in Las Vegas, NV. The role requires leading safety on-site, auditing contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with EHS requirements throughout all project phases.

The candidate will engage with vendors, subcontractors and stakeholders, conduct field observations, and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement on a large construction site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Construction Management, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of construction safety experience or demonstrated equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site safety representative across construction, commissioning, start-up and activation phases.
• Conduct daily site safety walks to identify unsafe conditions and moments for improvement.
• Perform routine safety audits and review safety reports to provide improvement recommendations.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and project-specific safety requirements for all on-site activities.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to foster a safety culture.
• Track corrective actions and ensure timely closure of safety observations and audit findings.
