Job summary

illumynt is seeking an on-site EHS Coordinator at our Columbus, OH facility to manage environmental health and safety compliance while supporting administrative tasks with our remote HR team. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring compliance and administrative duties across two functions.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in an administrative, safety, or operations support role.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Willingness to obtain OSHA battery handling certification (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with R2v3 and TAPA; coordinate training and logs.
• Obtain OSHA battery-handling certification; on-site hazardous material lead.
• Oversee Universal Waste Area: storage, labeling, disposal.
• Plan and run monthly safety trainings for site employees.
• Document Safety Committee meetings; track action items.
• Inspect extinguishers, spill kits, first aid kits; coordinate replenishment.
• Perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) checks and maintain records.
• Inventory site chemicals and SDS accessibility.
• Track EHS objectives and prepare audit documentation.
• Conduct site tours for new hires; coordinate with staffing agencies; admin duties.
