Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator – Machine Safety for an on-site role in Aurora, OH. You will support and improve the site’s safety and environmental programs in line with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities include enforcing machine safety, performing risk analyses, auditing compliance, and training staff. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and experience with industrial equipment are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of machine safety principles (OSHA 1910 Subpart O, ANSI standards)
• Experience with risk assessments, machine guarding design, hazard mitigation
• Familiarity with CNC machines, conveyors, presses, robotics, fabrication equipment

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce machine safety on the manufacturing floor, guarding, LOTO, PPE
• Perform JHAs and safety audits to identify hazards
• Oversee environmental permitting activities and regulatory compliance
• Lead LOTO program development, audits, and training
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions
• Maintain EHS documentation, training records, and certifications
