Job summary

ERM is seeking an EHS Manager to lead safety for a dedicated facility near Columbus, Ohio. This full-time, 12-month role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-moving technical environment, with the ability to operate independently and scale safety systems with the business.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive EHS experience, deep knowledge of machine and electrical safety, and a proven ability to partner with engineering, operations, and facilities teams to embed safety into design

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge across occupational safety and health disciplines.
• Experience scaling EHS programs for rapidly growing, multi-site operations.
• Proven ability to translate regulatory obligations into practical safety programs.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Own site-level EHS strategy and execution for the special projects site.
• Anticipate EHS requirements for new operations, construction, and 24/7 ramps.
• Lead proactive risk identification and control across site activities.
• Develop and maintain site EHS programs, training, and incident systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and vendors to embed safety.
• Provide visible field leadership across shifts and operations.
• Lead incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and lessons learned.
• Use data to identify recurring risks and drive preventive actions.
• Manage contractor and contingent-worker safety interfaces.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and reports to leadership.
