Job summary

BlueGrace Logistics is seeking a Drayage Capacity Coordinator for an on-site role in Chicago Loop. The position entails building and managing BlueGrace’s drayage carrier network across ports, rail, and inland destinations, with responsibility for pricing and execution in coordination with the drayage team.

The ideal candidate has prior drayage experience, working knowledge of port/rail operations, chassis management, and container freight logistics.

Qualifications

• Drayage experience required across port/rail operations.
• Knowledge of carrier management and capacity procurement.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and execute BlueGrace's drayage carrier network across ports, rails, and inland destinations.
• Price drayage shipments accurately, including linehaul, port fees, chassis, fuel, and accessorials.
• Execute drayage shipments end-to-end with carrier assignment, appointment scheduling, delivery confirmation, and close-out.
• Maintain carrier records and ensure compliance documentation in the TMS.
• Monitor in-transit shipments for container availability, free time, and appointment adherence.
• Coordinate with ports, ramps, terminals, and warehouses for smooth container handling.
• Collaborate with account managers on pricing requests and carrier performance.
