Job summary

SimVentions, on-site at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, seeks a System Administrator to develop Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions for a government hosting facility. This full-time role requires an active Secret clearance with the possibility to obtain Top Secret after start.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware and VMs, performing routine maintenance, managing backups, and securing systems per DoD guidance. Agile planning is used to deliver reliable services.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of system administration experience.
• Experience with RMF compliance, STIG and ACAS scanning.
• Certification in Windows or Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for a government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain hardware, virtual machines, and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot servers and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance.
• Maintain ongoing security posture via monitoring and events.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support for on-premises infrastructure.
