Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. This on-site role at NSWC Dahlgren involves crafting RMF A&A packages, performing continuous monitoring, and conducting system testing to secure advanced combat systems.

The position requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, DoD cybersecurity expertise, and experience with DoD policies. Educational background preferred in Cybersecurity, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems or five years general security engineering experience.
• Two of the five years of engineering experience on Combat Weapons Systems (e.g., Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt).
• Certified as IAT Level II or III per DoD 8570.01 for ISSO/ISSE.
• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies and ability to communicate clearly in presentations.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity A&A artifacts.
• Document systems from a cybersecurity perspective using Word, Excel, Visio.
• Plan, execute and document risk assessments against known vulnerabilities.
• Apply DISA STIGs and DoD/Nsa recommendations.
• Lead ISSO role for security matters related to information systems.
• Perform vulnerability testing with ACAS and other IA tools.
• Develop cybersecurity requirements, standards, and guidance for combat systems.
