Job summary

Evoke Consulting is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our team on site at the United States Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia. The candidate will work on site with Evoke contractors, Marines, and government civilian employees in preparing, reviewing, and processing Service Treatment Records of Marines who have separated from the Marine Corps.

Completed Medical Records are submitted to the Department of Veterans Affairs and used to determine the former Marines eligibility for

Qualifications

• MINIMUM two (2) years’ general work experience.
• MUST be able to lift and move boxes of up to 60lbs.
• Familiarity with HIPAA.
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• REQUIRES proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (incl. SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new skills to meet the demand of the client.
• Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt -- desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare paper records for electronic conversion by organizing, validating, and repairing content to ensure smooth processing through a highspeed scanner
• Identify type(s) of content contained within the records to be able to identify misfiled documents and verify that all contents are related to the specific individual
• Use web-based applications to update the status of a record, as it moves through the workflow
• Ensure that Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and/or Confidential, Unclassified Information (CUI) remains protected
