Job summary

Weisiger Group, doing business as LiftOne, seeks an experienced Dock and Door Road Technician in Birmingham, Alabama. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and preventing failures on loading dock equipment and doors.

You will also perform preventive maintenance and manage van operations and inventory on service calls. The position requires welding certification or progress toward it, welding experience, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be a certified welder or able to obtain certification within the first 30 days of being hired.
• Successful completion of the welder apprentice level or three years welding experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend regulations and instructions written in the locally applicable language(s).
• Ability to perform duties at elevated heights.

Responsibilities

• Identify the general problem based on customer concern and locate the failure.
• Complete the appropriate repairs safely and efficiently and test equipment.
• Drive to and from locations to address on-site needs.
• Make necessary repairs with customer approval and perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Process the necessary documentation at job completion, including parts and time.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Identify and order replacement parts as needed.
