Job summary

South Middlesex Opportunity Council, Inc. in Framingham, MA is seeking a Program Director for the COE House to oversee a 16-women co-occurring residential program, with duties spanning staff recruitment, supervision, policy updates, client records, budgeting, billing, and liaison work with funders and external providers.

This is a 100% on-site role at the Framingham program. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in administrative/supervisory roles and 5 years in direct service for

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years administrative and supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years direct service experience including mental health and substance use.
• Preference to individuals with residential experience.
• Must be flexible, organized, and have excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Proven knowledge of the disease concept of addiction, dual-diagnosis, and understanding of the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 16-unit residential program for single women with history of mental health and substance use diagnosis.
• Provide program development and oversight of policies and procedures.
• Develop and monitor program budget with oversight to 3 rd party and DPH billing.
• Assist with hiring of program staff, help with training, and provide supervision.
• Responsible for emergencies 24 hours a day.
• Supervise effective resource referrals for clients.
• Coordinate HIV/AIDS education and referrals.
• Network with community providers internally and externally to maximize service delivery and reduce duplication of services.
• Collaborate with Serenity House program director and coordinate safety, policy, and other processes where two programs are sharing space or services.
• Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
• Recruit, manage, develop, and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, training, and performance management.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy.
• Attend & participate in engagement team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas.
• Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
• Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, manage licensing process, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.
