Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Framingham, MA seeks a Clinical Program Director to oversee daily operations of an outpatient substance abuse treatment program in collaboration with the Regional Program Director.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Counseling/mental health or related field, an active LCSW or licensed MH counselor, and at least three years in behavioral health with supervisory experience; strong communication and MS Word/Excel skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Counseling, mental health, social work, closely related field.
• Licensed Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor license.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in counseling preferred.
• Experience with licensing requirements (DPH, CARF, MBHP) preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience in a substance abuse/behavioral health program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a substance abuse treatment program with the Regional Program Director.
• Supervise delivery of clinical and case management services and integration across sites.
• Ensure services meet evidence-based practices, licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Work hours as needed to meet organizational requirements, including overtime.

The Clinical Program Director is responsible for:

• The day-to-day operations of a program of substance abuse treatment services in conjunction with the Regional Program Director.
• Supervising the implementation and delivery of clinical and case management services and integration of clinical services within the designated sites, services and modalities.
• Ensuring treatment services are delivered in accordance with evidence- based practices, licensing, accreditation and regulatory requirements and Spectrum’s clinical design; ensures clinical services foster an atmosphere of customer service and excellence in service delivery; and ensures the clinical staff is highly trained and proficient in the delivery of clinical services.
• Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Counseling, mental health, social work, closely related field required.
• Licensed Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor or closely related license in the fields of addiction or mental health required.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in counseling preferred.
• Experience working with DPH licensing requirements, CARF standards, MBHP regulations or other related requirements preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience in a substance abuse, mental health, or other related behavioral health program required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies. Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
