Job summary

Cummins is seeking an On-Site Resident Diesel Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and complete less complex repairs at a Mesa, AZ customer site. You will serve as the primary customer contact, perform engine maintenance, and maintain thorough service records while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires a current license, driving eligibility, a clean MVR, and willingness to participate in random drug testing. Local licensing for export controls may be needed.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with 2 years driving experience.
• 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
• FTA random and pre-employment drug testing is required; random drug/alcohol testing.
• Licensing for export controls or sanctions regulation may be required.

Job Summary:

Technical specialist and regular customer support contact to diagnose and complete less complex repairs to Cummins products at a single customer’s site.

We are looking for a talented On-Site Resident Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Mesa, AZ).

This will be working at customer location.

Will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Qualifications

DOT Preferred. Will be working at customer location.

• A current valid license is required for this role
• Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
• This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
• Locally valid driving permit
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

• Basic level field service work experience
• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products
• High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)
• Customer service experience
