Job summary

Equipment Depot, Inc. seeks a skilled field service technician to operate, repair and maintain large diesel industrial lift trucks on customer sites throughout the Middletown area.

You will read work orders, diagnose issues, perform repairs, document services, and communicate with customers to ensure equipment meets specifications. A valid driver's license and OSHA 10 certification are required, along with the ability to pass on-site drug testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience with industry or heavy equipment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
• Ability to pass OSHA 10 course and site-specific training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and operates heavy equipment on customer sites.
• Reads work orders and observes truck operation to diagnose problems.
• Provides solutions and estimates when appropriate.
• Performs mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Records repair details and serial numbers on work orders.
• Communicates with customers about needs and completed work.
• Inspects guards, bolts, and safety devices; makes adjustments.
• Lubricates parts and tests repaired equipment for conformance.
• Represents Equipment Depot professionally on-site.
• Tracks service schedules with operations or service manager.
• Submits time cards and paperwork daily as directed.
