Job summary

Equipment Depot Inc. seeks an onsite technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and verify repairs on test drives, documenting all work and communicating with customers.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience or training, a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, and basic math and communication skills. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures; write routine reports.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute rates and percentages.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and observe truck operation to diagnose malfunction.
• Perform mechanical repairs after full inspection and analysis.
• Record repair descriptions, model, serial number, and hours on the work order.
• Obtain customer signature and explain repair needs or completed work.
• Check guards, bolts, and safety devices; make adjustments as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and test drive to verify conformance to specifications.
• Submit time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily.
