Job summary

Axiom Technologies in Olathe, Kansas seeks an on-site Desktop Support Engineer to deliver first- and second-level technical support within the client’s desktop computing environment, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.

You will triage tickets, prioritize tasks, coordinate with other technicians, install and maintain hardware and software, and communicate clearly with users and the service delivery team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN, switches, routers).
• Ability to diagnose desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in onsite support environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at client locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, OS, and enterprise apps.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while onsite.
