Job summary

Hunted International in Texas is seeking a hands-on Data Center Infrastructure Technician to support day-to-day operation, maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting of critical data center infrastructure.

You will work on-site in a mission-critical environment, handle rack-and-stack, cabling, power, cooling, and asset management, and collaborate with engineering, facilities, and vendors to keep systems secure and highly available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data center or critical infrastructure experience.
• Experience installing/troubleshooting servers and network hardware.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber cabling.
• Understanding TCP/IP, switches, routers, and connectivity.
• Familiarity with data center rack layouts.
• Ability to read technical docs and diagrams.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot data center infrastructure.
• Perform rack-and-stack for servers and networking equipment.
• Install and manage copper and fiber cabling.
• Troubleshoot server, hardware, network, and cabling issues.
• Support moves, adds, changes, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Monitor systems, respond to alarms and incidents.
• Maintain inventory and asset records.
• Update tickets and documentation.
• Escalate issues to engineering or facilities as needed.
• Participate with vendors and service providers.
• Follow change- and incident-management procedures.
• Maintain clean, secure environments and safety policies.
• Assist with capacity planning and infrastructure utilization.
• Support commissioning and testing of new infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
