Job summary

Unisys Corporation in Ellendale, ND is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise servers and data center hardware. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining server components in a customer-facing environment.

You will perform installation, replacements, firmware updates, and use management tools like Dell iDRAC while coordinating with customers and internal teams. Travel and on-call work are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on work with server hardware, installation and repair.
• Experience diagnosing hardware failures and component replacement.
• Familiarity with server management tools and BIOS/firmware updates.
• Ability to operate in data-center, field service or customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair for components.
• Carry out rack-and-stack, cabling, and server configuration tasks.
• Triage issues involving BIOS/firmware, OS, and diagnostics tools.
• Update firmware and use server management platforms like iDRAC.
• Document service activities and escalation when needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and travel to customer sites.
