Job summary

Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Project Engineer to join on-site at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center near Sparks, NV. The role supports owner-side controls, documentation, and coordination across stakeholders to keep data-center projects organized and decision-ready.

The successful candidate will manage records, action tracking, RFIs, submittals, and turnover requirements, while maintaining clear communication and timely follow-up with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, OR equivalent practical construction/project experience.
• 0-4 years of construction, project engineering, or project controls experience; owner/operator or developer exposure preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to documentation and follow-up.
• Familiarity with Procore (or equivalent project management systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Document governance: Maintain organized, current, and retrievable project records aligned with Fleet standards, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
• Decision & Action Tracking: Track owner decisions, open action items, design clarifications, and commitments to closure, escalating stalled items.
• RFI & Submittal Support: Log, route, and track RFIs and submittals for completeness and required owner action before leadership review.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain recurring project reports and status logs that leadership can rely on.
