Job summary

Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Project Engineer to join the owner/operator construction team supporting data center projects near Sparks, NV. You will manage documentation, decisions, RFIs, submittals, and turnover items to keep the project information accurate and decision-ready.

This on-site role emphasizes organization, disciplined follow-up, and clear communication with contractors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, OR equivalent practical construction/project experience.
• 0–4 years of construction, project engineering, or project controls experience; owner/operator exposure preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to documentation and follow-up.
• Familiarity with Procore (or equivalent project management systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Document Governance: Maintain organized, current, retrievable project records aligned with Fleet standards.
• Decision & Action Tracking: Track owner decisions, open action items, design clarifications, and commitments to closure.
• RFI & Submittal Support: Log, route, and track RFIs and submittals for completeness and required owner action.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain recurring project reports and status logs.
• Stakeholder Follow-Up: Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders on routine information needs.
• Meeting Management: Capture meeting notes, record actions and owners, and follow up on assigned items.
• Procurement & OFCI Visibility: Track long-lead equipment status, delivery risk, and OFCI information needs.
• Turnover & Closeout Support: Track turnover requirements, commissioning readiness items, and closeout deliverables.
