Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking an on-site Project Engineer for a hyper-scale data center project near Childress, TX. You will support the engineering department, coordinate with design teams, subcontractors and clients, and help ensure safety, quality and constructability standards are met.

The role requires at least 3 years of project engineering experience in commercial construction, with hyperscale data center exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Project Engineering experience in commercial building construction.
• Experience with hyperscale or mission-critical data centers preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing and commissioning workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support meetings with area managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Interface between managers and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items.
• Review drawings, construction documents and manuals; quantify materials.
• Coordinate CSA systems within the overall project scope.
• Assist with training client personnel on CSA system operations and maintenance.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings and submittals for cross-coordination and constructability.
• Support BIM coordination, clash detection and resolution processes.
• Participate in QA/QC activities including pre-functional testing and start-up.
• Assist in system commissioning and turnover; provide on-site technical support.
