Job summary

Hoffman Specialty Contracting is seeking a Quality Field Engineer to join the on-site Quality Department for a hyper-scaled data center construction project. You will report to the Quality Manager and work with site leadership to manage day-to-day QC activities, verify contract compliance, and uphold safety and design intent.

The role requires inspecting, coordinating, or supervising structural, CSA, and MEP scopes with a proactive problem-solving approach on a complex site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ construction and/or building design experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting, coordinating, or supervising framing, drywall, and ceiling scopes preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all field QC activities (framing, drywall, ceilings).
• Support inspections, documentation, and quality control processes.
• Participate in QA/QC programs and TIPs.
• Monitor design documents for constructability issues.
• Ensure safety protocols and audits are followed.
• Coordinate with project leadership and field teams.
• Provide clear communication with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Manage inspection processes, deficiency tracking, and punch lists.
• Support project closeout documentation and turnover.
