Job summary

Hoffman Specialty Contracting seeks a Quality Field Engineer to support on-site QA/QC for a hyper-scaled data center construction project in Childress, TX. You will verify compliance with contract documents and uphold safety, quality standards, and design intent, coordinating with engineers, superintendents, and inspectors.

The role requires experience inspecting, coordinating, or supervising structural, CSA, and MEP activities, with a focus on field verification and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ construction and/or building design experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting, coordinating, or supervising framing, drywall, and ceiling scopes preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all field construction QC activities, including metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and ceiling installations.
• Support project quality personnel and field teams in inspections, documentation, and QC processes.
• Participate in implementation and maintenance of project QA/QC programs.
• Support execution of the Quality Project Execution Plan and TIPs.
• Monitor and review design documents to identify constructability errors or omissions.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and participate in safety audits and investigations.
