Job summary

Fluidstack in Houston is seeking an on-site Data Center Operations lead to own critical infrastructure and respond to incidents. You will drive end-to-end operations, manage maintenance with vendors, and uphold reliability in a high-intensity environment.

You’ll work with teams across hardware and software, setting standards, training staff, and shaping the operating model as the company scales hyperscale. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to uptime.

Qualifications

• Experience leading live data center operations.
• Knowledge of critical infrastructure stacks (power and cooling).
• Ability to manage high-risk maintenance and coordinate with vendors.
• Calm, decisive first responder during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site SME for data center critical infrastructure and escalation handling.
• Audit site, partners and service providers for maintenance programs.
• Own change management for high-risk maintenance activities.
• Lead on-site incident response with engineering support.
• Collaborate with colo partners and internal teams to maintain reliability.
