Job summary

Epsilon is seeking a Data Center Engineer to run day-to-day data center operations in Ashburn, VA. The role is on-site, full-time, with responsibilities including hardware installation, rack infrastructure, and proactive monitoring.

You will collaborate across departments, maintain SOPs, and ensure equipment lifecycle and inventory control. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a data center or IT setting, experience with Dell hardware, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Five years of IT or data center experience.
• Troubleshooting servers, networking devices and IT equipment.
• Inventory management including ordering and shipping parts.
• Ability to prioritize work based on business needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience taking on-call shifts and responding to incidents.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate with onsite staff.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and decommission data center hardware and cabling.
• Rack, stack and hand off servers to provisioning teams.
• Monitor data center environments and respond to tickets.
• Document activities and update SOPs.
• Receive and ship data center equipment as needed.
• Maintain asset inventory and manage parts ordering.
• Complete small projects and plan larger local initiatives.
