Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent for Industrial projects in Baltimore, MD. The role directs on-site workflow, enforces safety and quality standards, and acts as the primary leader on site to align client and business interests.

The candidate will oversee safety, quality control, daily documentation, and scheduling in coordination with the project manager and site team. Strong communication, leadership, and construction knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and on-site organization to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Understand and administer the HITT safety program for all subcontractors and incidents.
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project.
• Lead on-site safety and manage a safe jobsite for all involved.
• Maintain daily activity logs and manage punch lists through owner/architect acceptance.
• Collaborate with the project manager to formulate the project schedule and ensure proper methods are followed.
• Foster positive relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders and subcontractor scopes.
• Organize site team and arrange temporary facilities/utilities; identify long lead items.
• Coordinate with the project manager and site operations team throughout the project.
