Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist for our Advanced Facilities Group in Georgia. You will coordinate and implement field safety programs for routine construction projects, conduct site inspections, and perform safety audits to identify hazards and champion corrective actions.

Responsibilities include new hire orientation, monitoring subcontractor safety programs, and supporting project leadership in safety initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in safety or health-related field preferred.
0–2 years construction safety experience required.
Knowledge of federal, state, local safety regulations and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
Conducts regular walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
Conducts safety audits to identify hazards and recommends abatement measures.
Performs new hire orientation and oversees drug and alcohol policy compliance.
Monitors the implementation of prime contractor and subcontractor safety programs and participates in project meetings on safety.
Assists in investigating project-related accidents and discusses root-cause and process improvements.
