Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group is seeking a Safety Specialist Family to coordinate field safety programs on routine construction projects and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with laws and company policies. This role emphasizes proactive safety leadership across projects within our data center and manufacturing focus.

You will deliver New hire orientation, monitor subcontractor safety plans, participate in planning meetings, and support investigations of incidents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety/health (preferred).
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction or related experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with laws and Company policies.
• Conducts safety audits on assigned projects by identifying, documenting and recommending abatement of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions.
• Project-specific new hire orientation and oversees drug and alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitors the implementation of prime contractor and/or subcontractors’ safety programs.
• Attends project pre-planning, progress and other relevant project-related meetings to discuss safety-related matters.
• Supports field leadership in the implementation of safety program specifics, such as meetings and project safety committee involvement.
• Assists in the investigation of project-related accidents and discusses root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinates with injured employees and clinics to ensure timely return to work.
• Monitors site safety incentive program.
