Job summary

Eliason Corporation is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator to serve as the on-site safety representative for installation and construction projects. You will implement and enforce company safety programs, OSHA requirements, client standards, and GC safety plans on active sites.

You will work with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to identify, correct, and communicate hazards, ensuring a culture of safety excellence across the jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary safety resource for field construction teams.
• Conduct daily job-site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify, correct, and document hazards related to fall protection, elevated work, material handling, rigging, scissor lifts, aerial work platforms, forklifts, and telehandlers.
• Coordinate hazard mitigation with the EHS Manager and GC safety team when issues impact other trades or shared spaces.
• Verify required training, certifications, and operator qualifications.
• Participate in incident, injury, and near miss investigations and ensure timely reporting.
• Enforce compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, company safety policies, and GC Site Specific Safety Plans.
• Maintain inspection reports, training records, incident documentation, and corrective action tracking.
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and pre-task planning processes.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage events.
• Support emergency response procedures as directed.
• Conduct or assist with safety orientations, task specific briefings, and toolbox talks.
• Support implementation of subcontractor safety programs and GC safety requirements.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions promptly.
• Attend required safety
