Job summary

Construction Materials Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project QC program on a single project. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and issue the daily QC report, opening and tracking NCRs until closure.

This is the first management seat for a field inspector stepping into program ownership. You will work with superintendents and the engineer of record, coordinating with technicians and the lab.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of technicians.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records (preparatory, initial, follow-up).
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record; keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
