Job summary

High Country Search Group is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for an established construction company in Colorado. This role will serve as a critical link between project teams, suppliers, and internal departments, taking ownership of purchasing needs once initiated by job sites.

The candidate will manage POs, coordinate with vendors, review quotes, and monitor purchasing agreements while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Prior purchasing experience is required.
• 3-4 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience communicating with suppliers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities for a large portfolio of active construction projects.
• Take ownership of POs after they are initiated by project teams and manage the purchasing process.
• Serve as a primary purchasing resource for field and project teams, building relationships with suppliers.
• Review supplier quotes and help evaluate purchasing options.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, pricing, and material availability.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers and manufacturer representatives.
• Support pricing discussions and negotiations with vendors.
• Monitor purchasing agreements and maintain accurate records.
