Sopris Homes in Boulder, CO seeks a Construction Purchasing Administrator to run the purchasing and bidding process, keeping projects on schedule and within budget. You own the flow from bid solicitation to purchase orders, work orders, and change orders, and maintain purchasing records for the construction, design, and accounting teams.

This detail-driven role requires prior construction experience and exceptional attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in residential construction, preferably in purchasing, estimating, or procurement.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with construction management software (Buildertrend, Monday.com, Dropbox).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with trade partners, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Set up new vendors and trade partner agreements, maintain up-to-date records, and onboard new partners according to company standards.
• Solicit, collect, and analyze bids from trade partners for homebuilding and remodeling tasks.
• Track outstanding bid requests and follow up by email and phone until a bid is received or declined.
• Draft and review scopes of work to ensure clarity and completeness.
• Prepare bid comparisons and maintain vendor/subcontractor contact lists and qualification documents.
• Prepare, issue, and track work orders, purchase orders, contracts, and change orders.
• Verify contract details before issuance and ensure complete, fully executed documents.
• Maintain detailed purchasing records in company file-sharing platforms and relevant systems.
